Arbigland is a haven for a rich diversity of wildlife. Mammals include roe deer, brown hares, red squirrels, foxes, badgers, otters, stoats and weasels.

Birds include curlews, lapwings, barnacle geese, four species of tit, two species of sparrow, three species of owl, pergerines, goshawks, yellowhammers, blackcaps, chiffchaffs, swallows, house martins, swifts, sand martins and many others.
