If you are a good golfer who relishes a challenge, the best Galloway golf course, Southerness Golf Course (pictured) is one of the finest championship links courses in the world.
Dumfries golf is best exemplified by Powfoot near Annan, another excellent links course.
Colvend Golf Club is less challenging but golfers of any standard will enjoy it. Go West along the coast road and it is just beyond Sandyhills.
