Choosing places to stay is about location, location, location and with our private sandy beaches, spectacular scenery and prolific wildlife we have some of the best dog-friendly sea-side holiday cottages, traditional stone built cottages and log lodges in Dumfries and Galloway. Our Gulf Stream microclimate also makes us one of the warmest and driest places in the region.
Golf, fishing, 7stanes mountain biking, horse riding, bird watching, shooting (including wildfowling), stalking and hill walking can all be enjoyed locally (see the wide range of local activities available).

Pet friendly and detached, Shore Cottage enjoys magnificent views across the Solway to the Lake District Mountains, and is centrally located for exploring the unspoilt beauty and history of Dumfries and Galloway.
Little Dunbar
(Sleeps 2 – 4 people)
A traditional estate worker’s butt ‘n’ ben cottage on the outside but has been beautifully restored for 21st century living on the inside to provide comfortable holiday accommodation for 4 people.
The West Lodge
(Sleeps 2 – 4 people)
A delightful 19th Century gate lodge with ornate slatework making it look like a gingerbread house! It looks small on the outside but provides comfortable accommodation for 4 people.
Powillimount Cottage
(Sleeps 2 – 6 people)
A three bedroom, traditional stone built Galloway cottage surrounded by cornfields and situated a 5 minute walk from a fabulous beach. The cottage accommodates 6 comfortably.
Arthur's Cottage
(Sleeps 2 – 6 people)
A three bedroom, traditional stone built Galloway cottage surrounded by cornfields and situated a 5 minute walk from a fabulous beach. The cottage accommodates 6 comfortably.
Beachcombers'
(Sleeps 2 – 12 people)
A six bedroom (combining Powillimount and Arthurs), traditional Galloway cottage that has been renovated for 21st century comfort. It is quiet and secluded and accommodates 12 comfortably.
House on the shore
(Luxury B&B Accommodation)
The House on the Shore has a unique charm and the most spectacular position, sitting in its own bay looking across the Solway Firth to the mountains of the Lake District beyond. We think it is a very special place.
