After a gap of well over a century a tall ship is sailing up the Nith again. Our friend Roy Kerr sailed past yesterday morning for the first time in La Malouine. She will be moored at Kingholm Quay initially and is to be used as a sail training ship. Sailing in South West Scotland is growing as a pastime and sailing in the Solway Firth has never been easier with harbours at Carsethorn, Kippford and Kirkcudbright.
