Cycling and Mountain Biking Holidays in South West Scotland
Dumfries and Galloway is
the place for cycling and mountain biking holidays and our accommodation is plumb central for the "seven stanes".
All seven are within a 2 hour drive of our cycle friendly holiday accommodation, Mabie - 7 miles up the road between New Abbey and Dumfries and Dalbeattie 8 miles the other way - are the closest of them.

There is also a mountain biking centre at Drumlanrig Castle.
The bicycle was invented by the estate blacksmith at Capenoch near Penpont and there is a memorial plaque there if you fancy a pilgrimage.
Or just go for a gentle cycle around the quiet estate roads ...
